The quality of food stuffs at Sahakari Upbhokta Bhandar is under doubt as worms were discovered from the packed Hamu (tatliya), a grain used as substitute to regular food while fasting.

According to Kanhaiya Lal Vaishnav who bought few packets of Hamu four days back from Sahakari Upbhokta Bhandar, Shastri Circle alleged that, today when his daughter in law opened one of the packets, she discovered number of live worms crawling inside.

“In every three years, we observe fast for whole month known as Purshottam Maas, since we stay away from regular food, we prefer Hamu” said vaishnav while talking to media personnel.

According to Vaishnav, he is really shocked to see worms inside food packets and doubts the quality of products sold at Upbhokta Bhandar.

Indra Singh Bhati, manager of Upbhokta Bhandar (Shastri Circle) told UT that “we keep customer’s satisfaction above all, and in case of complaints we are ready to take back the goods and replace them.”

While giving for clarifications, Bhati said that, they take care of each and every product but still if something goes wrong then it is definitely regrettable.

Kanhiya Lal Vaishnav who also holds a position in local political party didn’t lodge any complaint but raised his concern through media.
