Lollipop was distributed by Congress Environment cell as a sign of protest against damaged roads.

The congress environment cell headed by District head Amit Srivastava showed their protest in unique way against damaged roads. They distributed lollipops to engineers and others in Municipal Corporation building.

Amit Srivastava said that the Municipal does not pay heed to the troubles faced by public due to broken roads. He said that the officers only give assurances (which are referred to as lollipop).  That is why the cell members decided to distribute lollipops in the corporation building. This was their way of protesting against the administration.

The cell members said that public doesn’t need assurances. Assurances don’t relieve the common public of stray animals and damaged roads. The other members of cell present on this occasion were Abhijeet Khinchi, Abhishek Singh, Gajendra Singh, Dashrath Singh and Akash Shrimali.

On the other hand, Municipal Corporation says that this act by the cell is only to gain cheap publicity. The cell members did not approach Mayor and Commissioner.
