A man has been jailed for molesting and blackmailing a school girl. Friendship through social media proves to be a threat once again.

Adil s/o Jamil Khan resident of Sector 4 in Chittor befriended a school girl from Hiranmagri area through social media. After the virtual friendship grew, Adil started coming to Udaipur. One day he drugged this girl and raped her and also clicked her photographs. Later he started blackmailing her on the basis of these photographs. He extracted money in instalments of 5 thousand and 10,000 rupees. Adil even forcibly took this young girl to Rani Road after this incident and threatened her not to report the matter to police.

The girl revealed the whole incident to her father who reported the matter to Hiranmagri police. The victim’s statements were recorded under section 164. Police has now arrested Adil and sent him behind bars.
