In yet another episode, an old man was robbed off 40000/- from the SBI bank branch at the bus stand in Gogunda.

Vardaram Meghwal from Jarga Aamba of the Kamol gram panchayat went to the bank to withdraw some money. He took 40000/- from the cash counter, kept it in his bag and walked out of the bank. Reportedly, a young minor girl observing the whole incident, cut open the old man’s bag and took out the entire amount. Before the man could notice, the girl walked out of the bank. She escaped from the site with a boy waiting for her outside the bank.

The police examined the CCTV footage of the incident and saw the entire modus operandi. The nearby police patrol stations were alerted and CCTV footage of the toll plaza have also been thoroughly examined.

The old man told the police that he withdrew the amount for his son’s wedding preparations which is scheduled for 8th May.
