A man has been sent behind bars for three years under POCSO(Protection of children from sexual offences) act. Prem Lal Gameti resident of Pula kachchi basti has been sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment and penalty of 10 thousand rupees for mal intentions against a minor(age) girl.

Judge Virendra Kumar Jasuja gave his decision of 3 years’ jail and 5 thousand rupees as penalty under section 8 of POCSO and 6 month imprisonment and 500 rupee fine under section 342. The incident dates back to 14th November 2015 when a woman from Pula filed a complaint in Ambamata police station against Prem Lal.

As per the complaint, the woman went to work as labour leaving two daughters, both minors, at home. While she was in her work place, she was informed that her younger daughter had gone missing. She searched for her daughter with her neighbour Bheru Lal Nayak and in the process found the younger daughter lying unconscious in a corner in Prem Lal’s house.

When her daughter gained consciousness, she informed her mother that while she was trying to leave Prem Lal’s house, he forcibly pulled her inside the house and tried to molest her. In order to escape, the little girl ran towards the door and slipped. Her head hit the door which made her unconscious. Prem Lal’s intentions of molestation put him behind bars.
