Medical stores in Udaipur district are on a strike against online sale of medicines. All medical stores under Udaipur District Chemists Organisation are on strike from midnight of Thursday until midnight of Friday 28th September.

A nationwide campaign has begun against online sale of medicines. Following this, around 947 medical stores in Udaipur district will not operate on Friday. The objective of this shut-down is to save the business of chemists from internet pharmacy. Only co-operative medicine stores in MB Hospital, satellite hospital and female wards will stay open today.

It has been pointed out that internet pharmacy is equally risky for the common public. The chemists association would carry out a rally to express their protest against online medicines.
