Minister for Co-operative Department, Rajasthan, Parsadilal Meena took up the divisional review meeting of the MDs of Udaipur Division at Tribal Research Institute, Ashok Nagar today at 11:30 am.
In the meeting, Meena directly warned that, action might be taken against officials for not being serious towards their duties. He expressed anger on the MDs for their alleged lethargic and irresponsible behavior in participating and providing loans to the SCST and minorities.
While addressing the officials Meena said, “You have to achieve the 100% target mark of loaning to the SC/STs and the minorities.”
He added, “It is shameful that the money that is lent by the government to us for expenditure is returned to government unspent, due to your negligence. I will not tolerate this sort of indiscipline”.
“Charge sheet will be issued to those MDs who do not complete the 100% target within one month”, slammed the Minister.
Meena praised MD, Central Cooperative Bank, Dungarpur for his extreme efforts and said that it is the only bank that is up to the mark in the whole division.
Banswara district was analyzed as the poorest district of all in the division in terms of implementation status of various projects. MD, Banswara was warned and given an ultimatum to sort out the problems. Udaipur was the second in the list.
Meena said, “Recoveries of loans lent are very important for the concerned banks, in order to step out of loss”. Mangilal Garasia, State Labor Minister, Rajasthan, was also present on the occasion.
Summarizing the meeting, Meena said, “All the banks of Udaipur Division are somehow defaulters at one or the other point, whether it is loans, deposits, or expenditure. I hope that no such irregularity exists till the next meeting.”
