The hindrance in the practical exams due to the continuous strike of non teaching staff and pensioners was resolved after the non teaching staff of MLS University decided to return on work. However the strike will continue.

The decision came after a high level meeting held today between the Councils of Deans (COD) head by Vice Chancellor.

Students faced problem when today’s exam was also postponed. Angered with the situation, student group under the banner of ABVP locked the administration building of MLSU and protested against the chaos for more than two hours.

Vice Chancellor Prof. I.V Trivedi assured the students to resolve the issue till evening.

According to sources, the pensioners were also planning to take middle way so that students wouldn’t suffer from exams. As per the discussions between pensioners and their ally non-teaching staff, it was decided that non teaching staff will continue their support to pensioners but also join their duties.

In the meeting of COD, it was decided that till 18 Feb, students will get the practical exams date, whereas the final exams are scheduled from March 1 to May 31.
