Four retired employees of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) received their pension from the month of Nov 2013 to Feb 2014. The pension was pending after the university had some uncertainty with state government on the issue.

High Court directed the state government to give the pending pensions of the four professors, while 45 other pensioners will appeal to the court today.

The other 450 pensioners also received their pensions till the month of January by State Government and the rest of the amount will be paid by the University. The vice chancellor of MLS University is trying to get funds either by taking loan or asking government to help them.

The pensioners were on a month long strike after their pensions were stopped due to the change of laws, lack of funds and other disorientations between university and state government.

Strike started from 27th January and ended in February after the assurance of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.
