MLSU Vice Chancellor I.V. Trivedi faced stern remonstration by MLSU employees, who are on strike since 24th June. Hundreds of non-teaching staff of MLSU gathered around Vice Chancellor’s chamber and started protesting against the ongoing hiring of lab technicians.

The sudden protest at MLSU was controlled after Vice Chancellor called for meeting and discussed the issue with his subordinates. A police team also responded to tackle any law and order situation.

According to sources, the protestors allegedly stopped the ongoing hiring process under the misinterpretation that the hiring was going on against their demands. They also started demonstrating violently by shutting down the iron gates of MLSU office.

Vice Chancellor I.V Trivedi said, “We have terminated only those who are over 60-year-age, which is already a part of the guideline. Still we look forward to take positive step for the employees.”

However, no strong result came out in today’s meeting. Yet, both employees and MLSU administration hope for positivity.
