Residents of Sector 5 in Hiranmagri have raised their voices against mobile towers of a private company. As informed, the mobile towers are being put up near public park and the turns in colonies.

Written complaints have been given to the Mayor, District Collector and SP. But the issue is that there have also been allegations against certain retired police officials who have been hired by the mobile company. The issue is regarding ward-27 Vasant Vihar colony. Public is protesting against the mobile towers for very obvious reasons as the areas where the towers are being put up are residential areas and the radiations from these towers bear health hazards. A tower on the road’s turning point is very likely to cause accidents. The residents have accused the retired police officials of threatening them. They said that these officials hired by the mobile companies for security purposes are threatening the people who are raising their voices.

The representatives of the colony said that they met with Municipal Commissioner Ankit Kumar Singh who assured them of taking action in this matter on 5^th of March but till date no one has turned up to inspect the site. The colony residents then met with District Collector Anandi and demanded that quick action be taken against the mobile company.
