Money lenders prove to be a nuisance-Causing terror among victims
Money lenders are threatening people by cheating them.
Money lenders have once again proved to be a nuisance causing terror among the victims by means of fraud and threats.
When a person is in need of money, he rushes to money lenders not realising that he is inviting a life time trouble. Many cases have been reported where money lenders have befooled their customers while lending money on personal grounds. Their interest rates are higher than the bank.
One such case has recently been brought to light where a money lender trapped its borrower. The victim reported the matter to Ambamata police but no action was taken. The victim has now appealed to IG police and requested for action on this matter.
Meena w/o Brijmohan Joshi resident of Eklavya colony in Mulla Talai reported that a case of money lending is going on between her husband and Lalluram s/o Naru Chauhan resident of Saheli nagar. Lalluram has reportedly forced Brijmohan to sign blank documents and cheques in lieu of money. Brijmohan had borrowed 14 lakh rupees from Lalluram. Till now, he has already repaid 26 lakh rupees to Lalluram, but Lalluram is asking for 26 lakh rupees more. Brijmohan has faced lots of threats from Lalluram who visited his house with few others on 4th August and threatened him for more money. The victim reported the matter to police but no action was taken.
Almost a fortnight back, 55 year old Surajmal committed suicide because of fraudulent activities and threats from money lenders. Surajmal mentioned his grievance in the suicide note. Police is not taking action in these cases. Borrowers after facing threats commit suicide out of fear and tension. Victims’ families have even protested in front of Collector’s office in these matters.
Ambamata SI Chandra Purohit has said that no such case has been received by them. If the matter has been reported to IG office, action will be taken at the earliest.
