The anti-encroachment team of Udaipur Municipal Corporation returned empty handed from Ambamata Scheme after owner of building alleged partiality in implementation of Municipal by-laws.

As part of the anti-encroachment drive, a team from UMC, went to the residence of Prabhu Lal Sukhwal at 19-A Ambamata Scheme for seizing the property. The team had gone there as the building owner had raised an extra floor in the locality that was under no-construction zone and also leased out space for commercial work in the residential building.

According to Nitin Bhatnagar, Revenue Officer, UMC, Prabhu Lal had been served notice multiple times against raising extra floor in an area that falls under no-construction zone. Further, he alleged that the owner had rented ground floor to a Government bank despite the property being a residential property.
