Acting instantly on its decision to curb all illegally installed banner advertisements from the city, Udaipur Municipal Council lodged massive action and seized more than a dozen illegal posters, banners and flexes from the city today.

Rajni Dangi, Chairperson (MCU) informed that a team under the supervision of Archana Sharma President, Revenue Committee, seized all the illegal posters and banners from the city. The campaign of removing banners started from Court Chouraha, Chetak Circle, Ashwni Bazar, Hathipol, Bapu Bazar and continued till Hiran Magri sector 11.

Dangi said that only 19 banners on the road side are under court’s stay order, besides these all the banners, posters, hoardings and flexes placed without permission are illegal.

The team that carried out the seizure, included Manna Lal Samar, Gopal Krishan Paliwal, AENs and JENs of the concerning areas, along with Archana Sharma.

Rajni Dangi also said that spreading garbage in the city will not be tolerated and if a person or an institution is found breaking the law, will be punished accordingly.
