Udaipur branch of CIRC, ICAI has begun the new financial year on a high positive note, with the announcement of various programs towards the professional development of its members as well as promoting student activities and interest in the field of accounting.

CA Anshul Mogra, the Chairman of the Udaipur branch of CIRC, ICAI announced a plethora of initiatives while launching the first issue of the bi-monthly newsletter of the branch.

Under the professional development programs for members of the chapter, Anshul said that core focus being knowledge dissemination, regular CPE programs will be organized, which will include courses in FAFD, DISA, Certificate courses on GST, concurrent audit, etc.  This will also be complemented by sports and entertainment programs, which will assist the members in taking a break from their hectic professional schedules.

With the expected date of rolling out GST implementation being 1st July, the chapter will be organizing regular workshops and sessions on GST.  Industry specific sessions as well as general sessions will be organized to equip members and participants with correct tools in meeting the GST regime.

Emphasizing on student activities, Anshul said that the chapter will organize a series of industrial visits, lectures by eminent personalities, elocution contests, quiz contests, debates, language and communication skills, etc.  Motive being overall development of students and exposure to practical working environment.

Career Counselling seminars will be organized to create awareness and encourage more students to take up the elite CA course.

Anshul added that a new initiative has been taken by the chapter, in forming the Employment Cell, which will assist members and students in reaching out to industries and practice in Udaipur and in nearby places, especially in the field of finance and accounting.  The motive is to make the branch in becoming a prominent player towards providing employment opportunities across the city and in nearby areas.
