Public protest has gone high against noise pollution created by hotels in some specific areas. National Green Tribunal (NGT) will now take strict action based on the information and appeal of the residents in and around Sajjangarh area.

A public appeal stated that a hotel and a restaurant in Sajjangarh area play extremely loud music. The music goes on as late as 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. which is troublesome for the public, especially the students and the ailing. Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board and District Administration have been directed to take strict steps against this noise pollution. The hearing will now take place on this issue on the 4th of December 2018.

NGT President instructed the board to present their detailed report on this issue of noise pollution within a month. State Pollution Control Board, District Collector and SP have also been asked to look into the matter.

The letter of appeal from the residents of Sajjangarh area states that hotels are overruling the laws of forest conservation act and wild life act as well. Students who prefer night time for peaceful studies cannot concentrate and the ailing and the aged are unable to sleep because of loud music.
