No public transport available to reach RTOUdaipurites are facing a severe problem to reach the city’s Regional Transport Office located in the middle of Bhuwana – Pratapnagar link road. It has been more than 6 years since the RTO office has been shifted from Dhinkli to Pahada, however, there is no public or private transport facility to lead to the RTO Office.

It is too difficult without a personal vehicle, absence of autos and city buses to approach the RTO office is a big reason to worry.

Citizens coming to the RTO without a vehicle have to spend one whole day for the task. If someone is at Pratapnagar or Bhuwana Chauraha, he has no option of transportation to reach the RTO, but to walk the long way.

When it comes to the village dwellers the situation is even worse for them, in an unknown place they are helpless in the absence of autos and city buses to board them at the RTO office.

Residents of Kalka mata road, University road, Ashok nagar, Hiran magri, all have the same common problem, i.e. Transportation.

“Autos and buses are running on the proposed routes in the city. So far we have not received any proposal for the route to RTO office by any public representative or any organization”, said Jitendra Singh, Regional Transport Officer.

When UT approached Gulab Chand Katariya, MLA, Udaipur City, he said, “It is the moral duty of the transportation department and officials to take care of such an important issue. I have not received any proposals regarding the implementation of route autos/buses to the RTO office. Neither has my office proposed anything in this regard to the concerned authorities”.
