Over half a dozen women employed as Auxiliary Nurse Midwives at Kotra block have presented a letter to the Chief Medical Officer demanding their pay, which is not being paid from last many months, nor was their increment executed.

Shahina Khan with all the ANM’s (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) of Kotra block gave a memorandum to Chief Medical Officer and demanded that ANM’s who are employed on contract basis at Kotra block region of Jhadol are not getting their salary from November 2011, they’re also not getting the 10 percent salary increment for the year 2010-11.

She also told that their arrears for the year 2007-08 is also pending.

They demanded to equal difference in the salary of the ANM’s as the ANM’s on contract basis are getting only Rs. 6,000 as Basic Salary and the others who are permanently employed are getting Rs. 7,000 as basic.
