Oxygen Supply at RNT Medical College Hospitals to be Centralized by June 2015

Hospitals under RNT Medical College umbrella will now have a Centralized Oxygen Supply System. The project is expected to complete by 30th May.

Rs. 1.40 Crore will be spent on this system, which is pending from past four years. Thereafter, all ICUs, Wards, Operation Theaters, Emergency rooms, etc will get Oxygen from the centralized system.

 
Oxygen Supply at RNT Medical College Hospitals to be Centralized by June 2015 Hospitals under RNT Medical College umbrella will now have a Centralized Oxygen Supply System.  The project is expected to complete by 30 th May. Rs. 1.40 Crore will be spent on this system, which is pending from past four years.  Thereafter, all ICUs, Wards, Operation Theaters, Emergency rooms, etc will get Oxygen from the centralized system. 100 nursing staff and technical staff will be trained to maintain and deploy this system, as informed by Dr. DP Singh, Principal of RNT. After installation, everyday 150 oxygen cylinders will be emptied inside the centralized system, which will provide Oxygen directly to the points in the hospital for approximately 24 hours. Furthermore, on the suggestion of MEC – the company installing the system, hospital administration has asked for the fund of Rs. 2.5 Crore to deploy an advanced system, which along with being centralized would also be able to generate oxygen.
