The MLSU’s retired non teaching staff who demonstrated after their pensions were stopped without any prior notice, continued their protest today in front of university’s administration building.

The protestors said that they have no information regarding the statement of vice chancellor which says that the university will give pension of last two months.

“The Vice Chancellor has not given this statement to us personally or in written. Hence, we will not consider it official” said one of the protestors. Vice Chancellor Prof. I.V Trivedi was out of the city today.

Around 493 such pensioners are awaiting their pension from last 2 months which is said to be stopped by University without any prior notice or explanation.

Student group of ABVP is also supporting the pensioners for their problem and demanded positive action by the University.

Pensioners have decided to continue their protest for next two days from 11am-2pm. If no action is taken then the demonstration will be done on larger scale.
