Administration has chosen 65 spots in Udaipur for putting up markets for selling fire crackers (patakha) for Diwali. A park in Hiranmagri sector-4 is one of the chosen centres.

Reportedly, the residents of sector-4 have opposed patakha bazaar in the park. Puja Park is one such centre in Hiranmagri sector-4 which is frequented by public for morning walks and for relaxation purposes in the evening hours. Children also love to play in this park. Residents are against setting up a patakha bazaar in this park as once the purpose of this market is over, it is left unattended and extremely dirty.

The residents said that the park is dug up at various points for setting up the stalls. The vendors are careless enough to leave containers and polythene bags and a lot of packing material. This creates too much of dirt in the park. The people who look after the cleanliness of the park informed that there have been orders from the High Court regarding this issue where the court issued directives for not having any kind of activity in the park other than what it is made for. BUT administration and Municipal Corporation do not pay any heed to the orders.
