“Shruti Trivedi and Priyanka Tripathi didn’t deserve to die like this. They were lively, energetic and self-assured women who had future dreams, wishes and zeal to live everyday of their life happily”, said one of the employees, who did not want to be named.

But destiny had something else for them and left many questions for us.

Pyrotech Closes Office for a Day after Employees’ Death in AccidentWho is to blame for the shocking and dreadful deaths of both the women? How many more lives will be hounded by the highway trucks? What is the Administration doing to prevent road accidents in such areas where heavy vehicles move along with small private vehicles like scooters and motorbikes on a single road?

Phool Singh Meena, local Corporator of the area was unreachable to comment on the issue while traffic deputy Mahendra Singh said that the main cause of accidents in the area is the condition of roads.

“It is an Industrial area and still under development; so traffic of heavy vehicles will remain. We can do other things to avoid such mishaps like adding more speed barriers, etc.”
