The dispute over organizing the Garba in the courtyard of the Temple at Khempura has reignited today again after few days, when both groups of people visited Pratap Nagar Police Station and reported their concern.
Over tens of people from Dangi Samaj and Shree Ram Navyuvak Mandal flocked to police station and met Dy. S.P. Dayanand Sarang, however police asked them to arrange a meeting on Sunday at temple compound and decision will be taken there in front of senior police officials and representatives of the communities.
According to sources, Shree Ram Navyuvak Mandal is organizing annual celebration of Navratari at the courtyard of Charbhuja Nath Temple, the temple is managed by Dangi Community, who alleged Garba organizers for their anti social activities and objected to organize Garba this year.
Whereas, Mandal charged Dangi Samaj for encroaching public place by stuffing construction material and denied all allegations against them.
“We are celebrating Garba from last 10 years at this place, then how suddenly they started blaming us for mistreatment?”, says one of the Mandal volunteer.
Navyuvak Mandal has also lodged complaint at Municipal Council on 17 Sept against temple administration for encroaching courtyard.
Senior members of Shree Dharm Raj Dangi Seva Sansthan, including Manohar Lal Dangi (president), Tulsiram Dangi (trustee) and head of the Khempura village Bherulal and Devilal Dangi, discussed the matter with police officials and finally came to a decision of setting up a meeting on coming Sunday.
However, Dangi Community warned to stage protest if the decision will come against them.
“They mistreat temple visitors, specially our women. We can’t tolerate more”, said a member of Dangi community.
