Employees of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation protested outside Roadways bus stand, Udiapol against the department’s new proposal in which Private Buses will utilize roadways bus depot for boarding passengers.

The department is also planning to reduce the authorization of roadways bus from 36 percent to 21 which will highly affect the movement of roadways bus service in Rajasthan.

Mahesh Upadhyay, representing several unions including INTUC, BMS, ATUC and SITU supporting the employees informed, “The proposals will end the roadways bus system in Rajasthan same as it did in Madhya Pradesh where private bus companies are dominating.”

The proposals is yet to be finalized by the state cabinet. However the employees hope that by protesting against the proposals, government might take decision in the favour of employees.
