There have been incidents of robberies at Pratap nagar Baleecha bypass. People have been victims of robbers and goons in the area that falls between Savina Bridge and Geetanjali hospital. SP Rajendra Goyal received appeals from public on Tuesday who suffered at the hands of robbers on Monday night.

Such incidents have become very common in this area. Every other day, people are robbed off and no police patrol is active despite written complaints. SP Rajendra Goyal has instructed police stations to look into the matter and demanded the arrest of these robbers at the earliest. People are under terror since goons in this area create some or the other scene and even damage vehicles and snatch money from people.

The areas facing these incidents regularly are Gokul village, Titardi, RK Puram and South Extension. As per complaints from residents of these areas, goons frequent these areas around 9 p.m. and line up at road side. People going to and fro especially those attending patients in hospitals are stopped enroute by these goons. All their cash is taken away by these goons who do not even spare even the injured and sick people. People also complained that police does not reach the spot even after a number of phone calls.

On Monday night, some goons were standing outside cemetery. Some people in a car applied sudden brakes for some reason. These goons pulled out the passengers from the car and started beating them up. They also broke the car’s window panes. Colony residents immediately rang up the police station. Before police could reach the spot, the people in the car left the spot in the damaged vehicle and even the goons fled away.
