Safety rules are not being followed for boat rides at Jaisamand Lake. No lesson has been learnt from the previous boat accidents.

A lot of people visit Jaisamand lake for its natural beauty and boat rides. Recently a huge crowd from city and the nearby villages was seen at the lake side. Everybody enjoyed the beautiful weather at lake side and many jumped in to have a boat ride.

The only trouble was that everybody forgot safety rules while on boat ride. All rules were very conveniently forgotten. The fact that the city was devastated by the death of an innocent girl in Fatehsagar Lake slipped out of everybody’s mind. There was more than the approved capacity of people in the boat. All of them were without life jackets.

As per permit, a boat can carry 20 to 25 people for one ride. But this boat had more than that. There were no life jackets worn. Though the entire boat ride turned out to be safe, yet it was negligence on part of boat operators and tourists both.
