Aquarium entry tickets at Fatehsagar pal are very highly priced. Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria has issued instructions for the ticket rates to be slashed at the earliest.

Home Minister Kataria was on a visit for the flower show at Fatehsagar pal. He said that different species of flowers must be planted at Fatehsagar throughout the year. He also visited the fish aquarium at the pal. Entry tickets for the aquarium are very highly priced. For an adult one has to pay 118 rupees for the ticket which includes GST. For children under 15 years of age, the tickets are priced at 59 rupees inclusive of GST. Home Minister has asked UIT and Aquarim organisers to slash down the ticket pricing to attract more and more people to the place.

Kataria’s decision was supported by everyone present during this session. General public has already pointed out a number of times that the heavy pricing is stopping them from visiting the aquarium. For a normal family of 4, the ticket cost is heavy enough to create holes in the pocket. Kataria said that if the ticket price is not reduced, local public will not be able to visit the aquarium and will not even suggest their guests to visit this place.

Organisers of fish aquarium said that until now more than 20 thousand people have visited the aquarium. They said that having received instructions from Home Minister, they will certainly give it a thought and try to slash down the price.
