With an aim to put pressure on the MLSU administration to fast track the process for the recognition of the Pharmacy College by PCI, the Central Student Union, led by President Pankaj Borana, went on a hunger strike today.

According to the students, 40 of them from the current batch will pass out in the next three months, but the only government pharmacy college in Rajasthan is still not recognized by the PCI.  This has generated a sense of insecurity in them.

Borana said that the University administration is not taking the students seriously.  According to him, they are hiring more Professors, rather than trying to get the recognition by the PCI.

Today Borana and Pharmacy student Bhairaram Panchal were on hunger strike.  Borana warned that the number of students on strike will continue to increase if no steps are taken by the administration in the coming days.
