The library of Science College was forcibly shutdown by student union leaders following the complaint of lack of books available for students. Additional Dean of the College, Prof. A.K Goswami assured to take positive action in a week.

The library of Science College was forcibly shutdown by student union leaders following the complaint of lack of books available for students. Additional Dean of the College, Prof. A.K Goswami assured to take positive action in a week.

College Student Union Leader Rohit Suthar with MLSU Student Union President Amit Paliwal with other students closed the library today in protest of lack of books. Students alleged that there are no books available for evening batches and Students of 2nd Year and Final year are also complaining the same.

“There are 673 students in college and only 50 percent students are getting books from the library”, said Rohit Suthar.

Library has number of old books, some are of the year 2000 which is of no use as the course has now much changed.

Students said that they are not getting the books they require even after paying additional fees every month for library.

Librarian P.S Rajput, informed that a budget is already sanctioned for library. Now either a meeting of staff council will be held to know the availability and non availability of the books or every student should give us the name of book they want with the permission of HoD.
