She is one of her kind…young lass from the modern world who had dreams of standing apart among others.  She created her own platform by fighting against all odds and proudly stood with her chai ki tapri. Her efforts and courage were acknowledged by all and she has been awarded for her efforts. She is Priya Sachdev from Udaipur with her “Three addictions”.

A shocking incident grabbed everyone’s attention recently. Priya aka Pari was completely devastated when some police personnel ransacked her chai ka thela. ‘Why and by whose orders’ were not made clear to her but her dream project has been destroyed.

The question arises here as to why has this been done when the chai ka thela was more of a safe get together point for young girls? The masses know that no illegal activity was going on around the chai centre and this surely was not an encroachment activity. And even if it were, a correct procedure should have been followed and the thela should have been placed elsewhere. There is simply no logic in destroying it when there were many other thelas around that place.

Since Priya herself loves tea and understood that there was no such open tea centre for females, she decided to carry on with this courageous project of hers. She has been awarded under the woman empowerment title for her superb act.

Why has this thela only been destroyed? When there were so many others around, why did the police pick only her thela? Were they forced to do so by someone?  Were they really from the administration? Or were they impostors?

The city is in a shock. One day a woman is rewarded to follow her dream and a few days later her dream is destroyed. Does this mean that we shouldnt’ be following our dreams?  Or is it that a woman on road as a vendor is unacceptable because she belongs to the common class? Who is jealous of her brave act?  Administration or someone else? On whose prestigious clothes did her tea spill and leave its mark?

Whatever the reasons may be, the city stands in support of Priya. Public has decided to stand with her and help her re-establish her dream.
