Harijan community of Swaraj Nagar, Udaipur is living in state of fear and dilemma after the murder of a Muslim boy that took place few days back. Since then, tension is on a rise, as possibility of vengeance is gripping the residents who demanded police security in their area.

Members of “Valmiki Yuva Vikas Sansthan” protested at the Collectorate and gave memorandum to the District Collector, Hemant Gera demanding additional security to their community.

Satyaprakash Adiwal, President of the Valmiki Community, alleged that they are getting threatened by other community and certain incidents of stone pelting were also reported on the houses of Harijan.

Adiwal said that, we need immediate security as situation might become more tensed as the issue might turn communal.

Adiwal further said that, Ganesh festival is going on and we don’t want that the members of the other community create disturbance during the festive season.
