The City bleeds Tears on Death of Nation's Daughter

After fighting with her fate for 13 long days, she had to give-up before death. But, her death is not the end of story; a new force has been witnessed in the demonstrations and protests across the country. Not just the common man, bureaucrats and government officials are also demanding strict actions.

After fighting with her fate for 13 long days, she had to give-up before death. But, her death is not the end of story; a new force has been witnessed in the demonstrations and protests across the country. Not just the common man, bureaucrats and government officials are also demanding strict actions.

On 27th Dec. when the decision was taken and she was flown to Singapore, the nation stood positive on hopes of receiving the daughter back with new life, but the news of her death last night spread shockwave among the well-wishers, the every common citizen of India.

Alike the whole of India, even Udaipurites were seen with wet eyes and enraged hearts. Groups of people burnt effigies and tyres, at other places condolences were offered with peaceful candle march. Everyone had their own ways, yet each of them demanded for death sentence for culprits and security of females.

Members of Muslim Mahasabha protested at the Court chouraha and burnt tyres to demonstrate their rage. Akhtar Ali Siddiqui, District Vice-president of the organization said that, a new law shall be imposed, whereby the rapists, when proved, are hanged till death without other lengthy procedures.

In a similar scene in Udaipur, members of Shiv Dal Mewar were seen protesting at Surajpol. The protestors burnt effigies of culprits and burnt them to demand harsh punishments for demons.

Chairperson of Municipal Council, Rajni Dangi was seen with BJP members at BJP Office at Patel Circle. The party members offered condolence on the death of victim young girl. Rajni Dangi was quoted saying, “The Govt. should listen to people’s voice and if need be, suitable amendments be made to the constitution for prevalence of justice”.

When contacted, Mamta Sharma of Shree Ram Bajrang Sena expressed her anger over the death of victim and said, “The inefficient Govt. cannot restore the health of victim in so many days, the weakening girl was transported to Singapore to die, while her killers are still alive, they all should be dead by now”.

Members of District Congress Party also held a similar gathering where they offered condolence to the soul of deceased and kept a 2-minutes silence to mourn over her death. President of Female Congress said that the victims fight with death for 13 days was a courageous battle and also said, “Now that the Govt. is doing nothing, the citizens of this country must force the law that prescribes death penalty for such crime”.

Before the end of day, around 7 pm Bhartiya Janta Mazdoor Mahasangh (BJMM) organized a protest at Surajpol where the group of around 25 people carried out a candle march and observed 2 minutes silence. Later on the members of Mahasangh chanted “We want Justice” and demanded capital punishment for the evil doers.

It’s not yet over; we all hope it leads to a new beginning.
