A tower was installed in Amal ka Kanta area a few days back. People of the area were extremely annoyed over this tower. On Wednesday team of electricity department reached the spot, they had to face the aggression of people. For almost 2 and half hours the situation became much tensed after which the tower had to be removed.

Members of electricity department were trying to shift this tower only a few feet back from the place when people opposed the presence of this tower. The councillor of the area was called to the concerned place and seeing the opposition rising, he had the tower removed immediately.

The businessmen in Amal ka Kanta even asked for a reimbursement of the amount they had deposited in electricity department. They were assured that the amount would soon be refunded to them.

As per news, it was earlier decided that the tower would be removed at night. This was based on the discussions between Deputy Mayor and AEN Manish Rai after which Deputy Mayor left from the site. It was then brought to notice that a written order was already passed for removing the tower. The situation took a heated turn when the people of that area demanded that the tower must be removed with immediate effect.

After the opposition grew, the tower was shifted and placed on the area which had sewerage line. Due to the tower’s weight, sewerage pipe line broke and it started flowing out onto the road. As a result the air was full of stench which added to the aggression of people.
