Tripura’s Chief Minister Manik Sarkar asked public and democratic forces on Thursday to unite for a revolution if they intend to see ‘acche din’ saying that NDA and UPA are the two sides of the same coin.

Often referred to as the ‘poorest CM of the country’, Sarkar criticized the central government for its economic policies.

He staged a public rally at the collectorate and asked, “They have opened the doors for the foreign investors to invade insurance, banking, railways, higher education, health and defense sectors. What else could be termed as burey din?

The Communist Party of India (M) organized the rally where a number of people gathered. Sarkar sat for over two hours staging dharna, seeking houses ad forest rights for the poor and tribals from South Rajasthan.

He further added, “NJP has started from where the Congress left and the party which promised to confront the vices of the UPA has made life miserable for the common people.”
