“Every time I visit the mortuary, I feel miserable seeing the pathetic condition there, today I decided to call hospital administration and they finally came into action mode” – Sohail Khan, crime reporter, UdaipurTimes.com

Taking immediate action, Dr. D. P. Singh ordered to fix two exhaust fans which were not working from last more than a year, there are two freezers to keep dead bodies, but one of the freezers was ruined due to non-maintenance.

Udaipur mortuary at M.B Hospital compound is known as one of the biggest mortuaries in Udaipur region, yet due to lack of proper maintenance the condition of mortuary was going terrible.

According to sources, sufficient amount of water is needed after every biopsy but employees of mortuary seldom take pain of carrying water from outside.

Unidentified Bodies need to be kept in freezers, however one out of two freezers was not working from more than a year.

2 exhaust fans were last seen working a year back. At least three to four bodies are kept in mortuary at any time and proper hygiene is utmost necessary to execute the work.

When Sohail Khan of UdaipurTimes.com took the photos of mortuary to Dr. D. P. Singh, he immediately ordered to resolve all issues.

The question arise here is, why the action was held before any media intervention? Why conditions of public service organizations, like hospitals could not be maintained well, without giving excuses?

There are several such questions posed by our heart everyday, but. Alas! There is no answer from our sleeping soul.
