Udaipur Municipal Corporation (UMC) has initiated a construction of community centre at Goverdhan Vilas extension with a budget of around Rs.10 lac but it has forgotten 56 community centres in different parts of city.

The one at Azad Nagar in Hiran Magri Sec-3 is maintained by the residents of nearby locality. They themselves repaired damaged flooring and improper light connections. And now they are raising fund for installing a celling-fan in the building.

Residents of Azad Nagar requested the local councillor for the maintenance of the centre but he never acted upon the requirements of the building.

The one at New Ahinsa Puri in Fatehpura is in worst condition with broken stairs and improper power facility.

According to the residents of the colony, garden of the community centre is used by kids for playing but other than that, no activity can be carried out in the centre due to dilapidated state of the building.
