A four horned female antelope (Chousingha) was found dead at Gulab Bagh Zoo today; Department official Dr. Pradeep Pradhan said that the antelope was over aged and died naturally.

The same antelope had given birth to a baby antelope few days back, but the baby could not survive due to congenital defects; it is also expected that the female might have died due to shock of loss of baby.

The Female Antelope was burnt after the postmortem at the Gulab Bagh Zoo premises in presence of the Administrative officials and the Zoo Department Officials.

Neelgai Killed by Leopard at Sajjangarh

A Neelgai (Blue Bull) has been reportedly killed by a leopard few days back at Sajjangarh, near the ravine of Gorella View Point.

According to wildlife experts, Leopards after killing its prey comes back to eat it after few days or even weeks, when there is abundance of prey, however some small scavengers like Jackals and Hyena are also expected to eat the animal.
