To protest against the wrongful shifting of Ustad (called T-24) from Ranthambore Reserve to Udaipur’s Sajjangarh Biological Park, a wildlife enthusiast has filed a PIL at Delhi High Court.
The tiger, SUtad has been accused of being a man-eater for killing a guard on May 8th. The PIL also said that the shifting of the tiger is against the Wildlife Protection Act.
According to English daily, Ranthambore hoteliers were afraid that the tiger may scare away guests, so they lobbied to have him secretly relocated.
Reports also say that Ustad had stopped eating dead meat since he was moved to the zoo. Now officials are trying to feed it ‘live bait’.
