The woman who accused TB hospital Superintendent for blackmailing was attacked on UIT bridge. Attackers have not yet been identified.
TB hospital Superintendent was accused for blackmailing by NGO worker lady from New Delhi. The attackers could probably have been sent by Dr. Mahendra Kumar, as suspected by the lady. On Sunday night, this lady was pulled out of her car by unknown persons who dragged her on the road holding her hair. Onlookers first became dumb spectators but later gathered courage which scared these men. A report was lodged in Ambamata police station on Monday.
The lady said that this was the third attack on her which is making her feel insecure. It may be noted that Dr. Mahendra was sentenced to judicial custody for 15 days and is in medical cell since then. Police is investigating the case based on the lady’s accusations. Prior to this, Dr Mahendra car’s was seized by police for hitting the lady’s car. It was also discovered that the person hitting the lady’s car was none other than a police man who was driving that car.
