Wrong injection kills security guard
Wrong injection by an inexperienced doctor kills a security guard.
A security guard died due to wrong injection given by a doctor’s son in Dabok area. The doctor’s family is now absconding.
In a case of wrong treatment, a security guard was given an injection which proved to be fatal. Bahadur Singh Rajput was working as security guard in a private hospital. He went to meet his pregnant wife who was with her parents in Gadwa during her term of pregnancy.
After having dinner, Bahadur Singh experienced a burning sensation in his stomach. He went to Dr. Rajesh Sharma’s clinic where he was given an injection by Mahendra who happens to be the doctor’s son. Bahadur Singh fainted after being injected and he was immediately rushed to MB Hospital in Udaipur city. He died on the way to hospital. The body was kept in mortuary but the family members refused to take the body after post mortem. They demanded the arrest of Mahendra and also demanded compensation. The family was assured a compensation of 5 lakh rupees late evening. After this the family took Bahadur’s body for final rites.
As a routine, Bahadur Singh used to have dinner with his family at in-laws’ place. On the night of incident, too, Bahadur and his wife had dinner together and he was about to leave for duty when stomach trouble started.
As per police, people living in area of clinic informed that Dr. Rajesh Sharma was a diploma holder in doctorate and his son Mahendra had cleared nursing course. Rajesh Sharma was treating patients in Dabok since a long time. The doctor’s family is now absconding. Police has registered a case of culpable homicide against Mahendra Sharma.
The point that needs serious thought is that an inexperienced man injects a patient which leads to patient’s death. Can this be termed as culpable homicide? Isn’t police creating a mockery in the name of law? If the so called doctor is willing to brush the matter under the carpet by paying compensation, it clearly means that he is trying to hide his crime to escape law. Surprisingly police is trying to settle matter between both parties but has not arrested the culprits till now. Clearly this matter cannot be termed as culpable homicide. It is MURDER.
