What does a Ticket Facilitator or ATVM Facilitator mean?
An ATVM Facilitator in Indian Railways is a person authorised to help passengers buy unreserved train tickets using Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs). They operate the touch-screen machines and assist passengers who may need help with the ticket booking process.
The main purpose of ATVM Facilitators is to make ticket booking easier and reduce long queues at railway booking counters. They help passengers use the machines and complete the ticketing process more smoothly.
What is the educational qualification required?
No such educational qualification has been sought to apply here. However, it has been informed that retired railway officials can apply. Even in that case, an applicant can apply for only one station.
However, it is worth mentioning that if a common man, i.e., a non-railway official, applies, then in that case the applicant will have to pay a security deposit of Rs. 50,000 for NSG-1/2 stations and Rs. 25,000 for other stations. However, it has been informed that this money will be returned after the appointment. Even this will be a completely contractual appointment. Apart from this, no information regarding the age limit is mentioned here. Any applicant can apply.
How to apply?
According to the notification, to apply here, first you have to visit the official website of Eastern Railway. Then please download the form from the tender tab there. After that, you have to fill out the form with your personal information. Then you have to attach the necessary documents and send it to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Howrah Division. Please note that the application has started from July 27 and will continue till August 18. The application form must be sent within the specified time limit.
