UdaipurTimes, Oct 27, 2026 - Applications are invited for the post of Director (Research & Development) at Bharat Electronics Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) company. Last date for applicants is November 5, 2026, at 3:00 pm. Last date for Nodal Officers to apply is November 16, 2026, 5:00 pm.

Job responsibility of the post will include the following, apart from others:

1. To lay down the R&D policy of the company and to formulate the strategy of development in the areas of professional electronics/strategic electronics, components, equipments, solutions and services so as to maintain the company’s position as a leader in aerospace, defence & civilian electronics markets. For this he/she will liaise closely with the Board of Directors of the company and with the heads of customers organisations.

2. To continuously study the market requirements and the technology advancement both in India and abroad and suggest measures for updating the company’s technology and products.

3. To provide functional guidance and direction to all Heads of Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Unit Heads in all matters related to technology planning/technology road map, new product development and product upgradation in a matrix relationship with Operational Directors.

4. To provide direction and guidance to Development and Engineering (D&E) groups and SBU Heads/Unit Heads in preparing the annual and long term plans for Development and Engineering activities.

Qualification

• Engineering graduate preferably in Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Communication/Electronics & Telecommunications/ Computer Science/Al/ML.
• Postgraduate in AI/ML/Communication/Tele-Communication/Micro-Electronics Embedded Systems will be desirable.
