Republic Day was celebrated at GD Goenka at the school ground on 26 January with great vigor and zeal. Patriotic fervor warmed up the cold winter morning as guests, teachers and children of GD Gonka enthusiastically gathered for the celebration.

The program began with a prayer followed by flag hoisting by Dr. B.P. Bhatnagar and Sunil Khatri who graced the occasion. Dr. Bhatnagar enlightened the students about diversity of the nation and relevance of the Constitution.

This was followed by the March Past by all the four houses – Tagore, Teresa, Vivekananda and Radhakrishna. The Athletic Meet added great zeal, excitement and frolic filled atmosphere in the ground. The ‘Go to School Fun Race’, 100 Mtr, 200 Mtr and Relay Races remained as the main attraction of the celebration.

Athletic Meet ended with a few surprises for the teachers and staff. Lastly, the talents were acknowledged with the medals and prizes.
