In one of the biggest in house sports and athletics event held today at St Anthony’s Annual Sports Meet, Goverdan Vilas students participated in more than 200 races in various segments and won 633 medals. The event concluded with prize distribution ceremony.

Vikas Sahu, media head of the school informed that the students from class nursery to class eleventh took part in number of activities including race, item race, P.T. and dance.

Students who won 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd positions were awarded with medals. The chief guest of the event was Professor Pascal D’Souza (Additional Medical Superintend and HoD Dermatology ESIC Hospital, Delhi) and special guests were Ajit Jhony, Claude D’Souza, Vinisha Joshi, Leena Sharma and Angelino Korea.

The program was directed by Elvin D’souza, Director of the school.

Vikas Sahu was honored with a cash prize of Rs.5001/- for his consistent performance in chess for past 7 years. Chen Singh Badgurjar was also honored with a cash prize of Rs.5001/- for receiving 4 national level Gold medals. Varshank Sharma, Shivanshu Pandey, Yugansh Shukla, Nikhil Yadav, Gokul Pillai, Lakshya Agarwal were also felicitated with cash prizes.

William D’souza delivered a vote of thanks to the teachers and members of the organization who contributed and always came forward for the success of the event.
