Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ and it is a cultural celebration among billions of people around the world. It is a very special time for Christians. It is a time when families get together, sing Christmas carols, exchange gifts, decorate the Christmas tree, attend church services and enjoy a special meal.
For children the most expected guest of Christmas is of course Santa Claus who will bring gifts to the homes of the good children.
As per tradition, the children of The Junior Study had prepared a lovely Christmas celebration. Christmas carols filled the air of the school, poems were recited and a nativity scene was created to represent the scene of the birth of Jesus.
At the end of the celebration Santa Claus himself arrived from Lapland to give presents to the children (who all must have been behaving well as Santa wanted to meet all the children of the Junior Study).
Meeting the Santa for the first time as he comes with his big tummy and long white beard can be a bit scary, but for those children who had already met Santa it was lovely seeing him again after a long year.
