Students and teachers at The Study were treated today with an amazing performance by flautist sisters Debapriya and Suchismita Chatterjee, accompanied by the great tabla player Shailendra Mishra. The performance was a part of SPIC MACAY (Society of the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) initiated to promote Indian culture and to introduce the rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry to the youth of this country through focus on classical arts. The beautiful performance was followed by questions from the students who were keen on learning more about the instruments and how to play them. It was nice to see the students getting excited and keen on learning more about the classical Indian music.
