To mark the victory of good over evil Dussehra was celebrated today in the school premises of Seedling Modern Public School.

The Dussehra festivities were marked by enactment by students of classes IX & X.

The ‘Shlokas’ and ‘Chaupais’ were sung from Ramayana glorifying Lord Rama and his kin, his valour and righteousness even in tough times like his exile and his fight with Ravana for Sita’s honour and respect making the audience mesmerized and enthused.

The wonderful performance was hugely applauded by all the children. The enactment was followed by a spectacular dance performance and melodious song was presented by students of class VI & VII. The stage was decorated accordingly and the ambience gave a festive look.

Lastly the effigy of Ravana was burnt in the school campus by the students who were disguised as Rama, Laxman and Hanuman.

The celebration concluded with display of fireworks. On this occasion the Director Mr. Hardeep Bakshi blessed the participants for their commendable performance and highlighted the importance of Dussehra.
