To promote friendly relations through cricket between India & South Africa, a team of 29 players with 5 coaches played a friendly between Helpmaaker, South Africa and DPS Udaipur team on 07^th December 2013.

Two matches of 20 overs were played in the category Under 17 and Under 15 in the morning and the afternoon respectively. In the first match, Under 17 DPS Udaipur won the toss and decided to field and got 3 quick wickets in the first 4 overs. Helpmaaker team gave a target of 113 runs.

In the second half DPS Udaipur made 107 runs and Helpmaaker team won the match by 5 runs, Neil Kruger was declared Man of the Match.

In the second match, Under 15 Helpmaaker won the toss and decided to bat first. They gave a target of 111 runs.

It was an exciting finish but team DPS lost the match by 3 runs and Yogendra Singh, DPS Udaipur was declared the Man of the Match for his all – round performance. He took 5 wickets and scored 15 runs. The umpires for the matches came from Udaipur District Cricket Association.

On the occasion the parents were also invited to witness the match in the afternoon.

The Principal, Neeru Tandon welcomed the team members and the coaches. She further said that such events would go a long way in fostering peace and brotherhood at the international level through cricket.

Before the match, one minute silence was observed to pay tribute to great leader Nelson Mandela who passed away after long illness.
