The Study School, Badi marked the occasion of Independence Day with utmost enthusiasm. The celebration was started with arrival of Guest of Honor, Mr Himmat Mehta. Mehta is an alumni of St. Paul’s, Udaipur (1969) and BITS, Pilani presently working as a consultant to the one of the largest cement manufacturing companies in Gulf.
He was escorted to the dais two by class 12th students, Lakshita and Bashubhi. After unfurling the Tri-Color and melodious singing of Jan Gan Man he was invited to inspect the parade by Aaron Harry.
Then a plethora of patriotic songs, skits and speeches by the students were displayed. Mehta presented the students with certificates for excellence in academics. Notable among these was a certificate awarded by Smriti Irani, Minister HRD, to Uttakarsh Karva for scoring well in his 10th, in spite of being physically challenged, almost no vision in both eyes.
The program concluded with vote of thanks by Col. Tanmay Sinha (Retd) and the traditional football match between the students of class 12 and non-teaching staff.
