A special assembly on Christmas was held at DPS, Udaipur on 20^th December, 2012 by class IX A highlighting the importance of Christmas in our lives. The assembly aimed at giving the message of religious harmony and brotherhood.

The event started with a X-mas prayer followed by the news update around the globe. The thought of the day was taken up from the teachings of the Bible which inspired all present in the assembly.A poem composed by Mansi Jain of the same class was also recited to wish Merry Christmas to all.

All were mesmerized when the students put up the abridged version of the play ‘Christmas Carol’. With the help of the ghost of the past, the present and the future the significance of the festival was artistically brought out.

A Christmas assembly cannot be complete without Carol so a Carol singing was also incorporated in the assembly. The class teacher added a feather by reading an instance from the Bible which emphasized the sacrifice of Jesus for the sake of humanity.

The Principal, Neeru Tandon, applauded the efforts of the children for putting up a great show. She also announced about the upcoming Christmas Carnival on 23^rd December, 2012 and extended a cordial invitation to all the students, parents and friends to come and enjoy the festivity.

After the assembly a group of 30 students from class IX visited the Theosophical Society to share happiness with the inhabitants by distributing chocolates, biscuits, Christmas caps, clothes and other such articles and wished them Merry Christmas on behalf of DPS Udaipur family.
